*Drawings will be held at the Spring 2026 orientation session for 1 winner of a $500 scholarship and 3 winners of a $125 scholarship. To be entered, you must be a newly enrolled student for the Spring 2026 semester. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received by January 14, 2026. Scholarship funds will be applied directly to the student's account and may only be used for qualifying educational expenses. No cash equivalent will be provided. Roosevelt University will verify enrollment status and verify compliance with all other eligibility criteria prior to award disbursement. Roosevelt University reserves the right to disqualify any entry for fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to meet eligibility requirements.

Bonus Content: The Importance of Personal Writing in the Age of AI

In this workshop hosted during the 2025 RU Research and Inquiry Symposium, Profs. Michael Blancato, Becky Curl, and Mick McMahon describe the benefits associated with personal writing and caution against uses of generative AI that compromise these benefits. This workshop also highlights the voices of students - a group often absent from discussions surrounding AI. This video captures RU students and faculty working together to determine appropriate applications of AI and preserve what makes writing meaningful.
