Good Afternoon,

Jesse Brown VA is putting on a series of support groups dedicated to student veterans returning to school.  Groups will focus on school stress, work-life balance, finding community, and more.  Thomas McInerney will be leading the group as a peer specialist with firsthand experience of pursuing higher education after service.  Veterans who attend this group must be enrolled in classes at a university and actively engaging in mental health treatment.  This group will be held through a hybrid practice of online or in person based on a week-to-week basis.  There is a flyer posted under the documents page of the Laker Connect group and if you have any further questions feel free to reach out to Thomas either by email (thomas.mcinerney@va.gov) or by phone (312) 522-2940.
